Community Values

Promoting ideas and valuable Romanian initiatives is a necessary condition for socitety's sustainable development. Of how this potential is managed depends the progress and welfare of all those interested in the future. On one hand, the community is directly interested in the cultivation of human models and positive social experiences. On the other hand, institutions are interested that society as a whole be able to replicate, anytime and as many times, the good practices acquired. Development of substance in Romania is based essentially on creativity, economic and social innovation and, most of all on the examples of excellence provided by the socially and economicslly active communities.

The communities of the project Knowledge based Economy participated at the end of the year, in a contest of identifying these values, called: Community Values . The ten most beautiful stories, which can serve as models replicable at the national level have been promoted in as many shows on national television.

The 10 winners are: Laslea (Sibiu), Luncaviţa (Tulcea), Mărăşeşti (Vrancea), Panaci (Suceava), Saschiz (Mureş), Şimian (Bihor), Suceviţa (Suceava), Viişoara(Cluj), Zimnicea (Teleorman) and Zlatna (Alba).
